Results of Simultaneous Chess Exhibition
played Tuesday August 10, 1999
National Master Kerry Leahy played a simultaneous exhibition against 22 central Connecticut players, scoring +16 -2 =4. Robert Wolf of New Britain was the first player to topple Leahy, winning a chess book for his efforts. John Pasco of New Britain was the other winner. Leahy drew with Arkadijs Strazdins, Jozef Madej, Dennis Tortora, and Gary Caruso.
This was Leahy's last simul at the New Britain Chess Club. He will be moving to Florida in October due to a job relocation. The NBCC players would like to wish him best of luck and continued success in his new endeavors & his chess playing. We hope that someday he will return to Connecticut and will once again join the NBCC.
