Callie is very sweet and laid back. She is about 7 years old. She gets along with (or should I say tolerates) dogs very well. She is our hunter cat. She "hunts" and catches bugs, butterflies, and even squirrels (yep, she CATCHES squirrels)! She wandered into our yard with her yellow tabby "brother". She was wild!! But now she's earned the nick-names "Angel" and "Sweet Pea". After her "brother" disappeared we brought her into the house and tamed her hoping she wouldn't disappear like him.
Tiny is a long-coat. People always comment an how beautiful he is. He is very loving and laid back. Tiny also tolerates dogs very well. He is about 4 or 5 years old. Tiny is a very expensive cat. LOL He has (had?) bladder stones/crystals, so he will be on medicine and eat prescription food for the rest of his life, but he's worth it. :-) A person that knew we loved animals and took in strays brought him to us. The person said that he found him in his car, but Tiny was so young and tiny I doubt that's true. He is a sweetheart, but quite demanding. He really lets you know if he needs or wants something!
*UPDATE*
5/17/03 - Tiny has been missing for several weeks now and we are
sure that he has passed on to the Rainbow Bridge somewhere. We
miss him and the other cats miss him, but at least we tried to
give him the best life he could have.
Katastrophe, aka Kat, is a long-coat. He is about 3 years old. He likes to spend most of his time outside (away from the dogs). Kat was also given to us by someone that knew we loved animals and took in poor strays. She had found him in her front yard. He, too, was just a little kitten.
Terry is the newest addition to our cat pack! He is an orange tabby kitten. I heard him before I saw him. He was in a field. He was such a cute, skinny little guy, I just had to bring him home. After about a month of saying that he wasn't going to stay - "We're going to find him a good home. We aren't going to have another cat." - it was apparent he wasn't leaving! LOL He has definitely settled himself right in and has finally made friends with the older cats (and even Kerstin!). His bratty and destructive personality has earned him the nicknames "Little Evil", "The Little Terrorist", and "Terror". That is how we came up with "Terry" - Terror/Terrorist.
Kitty is a long-coated, house cat. She loves to knead my neck and she has an adorable black spot on her chin (see below)!! She is about 3 years old. We found Kitty in the dog house in our back yard when she was a little kitten so we took her in. We hardly ever saw her. It took almost a couple of years before she started coming into other parts of the house and coming around us more. Once she started coming around us we discovered that she was a very sweet girl. --- Early in 2002, Kitty began to get very thin. We spent many weeks trying to keep her alive by giving her IV fluids, force feeding her canned food, and giving her lots of extra snuggle time. She was nothing but skin and bones and her coat looked horrible... You could tell she was slowly getting worse so we finally made the decision to have her euthanized.
