The President Message

Communication has become part and parcel of our daily lives.  There are many ways of communications, two of the ways are verbal and non-verbal communications.  Our gestures, our facial expression, our vocal variety, and our usage of words can put us in great disaster, if we use it the wrong manner, and at the wrong times and at the wrong place. Whampoa Toastmasters Club was formed with the objectives of helping residents, friends, and colleague of any individual to improve their communication skills, and leadership skills through mastering the art of public speaking - through better listening, better thinking, and better speaking skills.  All members learnt by doing and through practising. Toastmasters Club is the only place where opportunities exist for you to improve your listening skills, thinking skills, and speaking skills.  We also provide leadership opportunities for you.  The meeting date / time / venue are as follows :         Date :  Every 3rd Wednesday of the month.         Time : from 7.15 pm to 9.45 pm         Venue : Whampoa Community Club, The Mini Theatre (#01-03)         Admission Fees : Free Preview For more details on being part of the family, please contact Mr Lawrence Quek @ 9459-4197, Jennifer @ 9766-8462 or Norman Hassan @ 9159-4573. If you are interested to join us as member, the joining fees is just only S$180.00.  You can visit any Toastmasters Club in Singapore, just by being a member of this club.  If are are already a member of any toastmasters club, we welcome you to join us as Project Evaluator, Language Evaluator or General Evaluator.
