Before she died Aaliyah starred in two very successful (and very different films). I suppose you could say the two parts were about as different as chalk and cheese....
In 2000s hip hop meets martial arts film"Romeo Must Die" She starred alongside Jet Li  as a sweet but rebellious gang boss' daughter. I found her acting convincing and she played a central part not just a cameo. This film has tears and laughter. Dmx also plays a small part as a bad ass club owner. Aaliyah was going to star in the sequel to "Romeo Must Die" unfortunetly she never go to make that film
In 2002s "Queen Of The Damned" she took on the very different role of an anceint egyptian bloodsucking vampire. This films the sequel to vamp film "An interview With A Vampire". She doesn't have such a big part in this film as it is more about main vampire Lestat. I think she took it on well its funny to see her as an evil vampire when we all know she was so sweet. She died before the film was finished and there was talk of scrapping the film for the sake of her family. Her family allowed it to be released and her brother did some of her lines for them so that they could finish the film.
This is my tribute to the beutiful and talented Aaliyah. It shocked the world when she tragicaly died in a plane crash on 2001 aged just 21 below you'll find books that you can read about her, her music and her films.
