                            Tupac Amaru Shakur

Tupac was born in Brooklyn, New York in June 16th 1971. He had a tough upbringing his father wasn't around and his stepfather a Black Panther had been sentanced to 60 years for fatal armored car robbery. Tupac, his mother Afeni Garland and his little half sister Sekyiwa lived all over and Tupac felt that he did not fit in anywhere.
"I remember crying all the time. My major thing growing up was I couldn't fit in because I was from everywhere. I didn't have no buddies that I grew up with".

By the time Tupac was twelve he had discovered his love and talent for writing poetry, love songs and acting. In his early teens he was living in Baltimore and was able to go to The Baltimore School of Performing Arts where he studied acting and ballet. He was doing well but unfortunetly he had to move to California with the rest of his family. He felt it was at this time he started to hang out with the wrong crowd. At fifteen he got into rap he started writing lyrics and going on like a bad man. People of small towns feard NYs reputation and Tupac used his background to build his own rep calling himself "MC New York".
At aged twenty when most people have their whole lives ahead of them Tupac had already been aressted 8 times. He had even served 8 months in jail for sexual abuse. He was also involved in two wrongful death lawsuits one involved a six year old boy who was killed in Tupac and a rival gangs crossfire. Tupacs first taste of fame was as a dancer with rap group "Digital Underground". He released his first album at this time "2pacolypse Now" which was a success. His single "Brenda's got a baby" really launched his career. He soon after got a film role in "Juice". Tupac eventualy releas the album "Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z" which was a huge success and saw his tunes into the charts.
In November 1994 he was shot five times during a robbery where theives took $40,000 worth of his jewelery. He recovered fully and it only seemed to make him come back stronger when he hit back with "Me against the World". A high point in his acting career was starring with Janet Jackson in the film "Poetic Justice" it showed his real talent for acting. Just as he was having major success and amid the film "Above the Rim" he was arrested  for sexual assult charges  made by a woman he met in a night club. Just hours before he was to be found guilty he was robbed at gunpoint, we still do not know what their intent and purpose really was. Tupac was realeased at a sum  of over $1 million in bail. After his release it again only made him stronger and he released his best album "All Eyes on Me". He did several more films "Grid lock'd", "Bullet" and "Gang Related".

                      Then on September the 7th
1996 he was shot by unknown gunmen from
another car while he traveled with
Suge Knight during the evening of a Mike
Tyson fight in Las Vegas. Sadly  Tupac died on Friday the 13th of September 1996. Who shot him and what happened that
evening largley remains a mystery.
There are whoever theories one is that Suge
Knight was involved in his death. Some people also beleive that Tupac faked his own death and may still be alive. This is because in his music he talked of his death and his own funeral. In the video for "I aint mad atcha" he is in heaven. If you want to learn more about Tupac you anly have to listen to  his lyrics they seem to tell his whole story, some are a wake up call, some are sad and some are very positive messages which sound as real and relevent today as they did  over 7 years ago.
"Through every dark night, theres a bright day after that"
