As most of you know by now, I’m sure, I was planning on writing about how offended I am by the current surge of patriotism and the media’s role in this event.  However, it seems every route I take steps on more toes than I care to, so I therefore give up my space in this volume of WHAT?!?, and only ask that all of you think about what is going on around you every day.  This, RIGHT NOW, is what your grandchildren are going to read about in history books in the years to come.  The times we are living in will be sensationalized by artsy writer/journalist types, so your recollections will be the most realistic and truly individual way the future generations can relate to your experiences.  Notice things, enjoy things, and think about things.  These are truly fascinating times we are immersed in, and we should all take a moment every once in a while to appreciate that, no matter the situation.  May life treat you all well and give you many pleasant memories and the time to tell about them.  God bless.
