First Fall Out
It was the fall after Harry's last year at Hogwarts. He was still a bit shoken up about what had happened. A dark, evil, wizard named Lord Voldemort was very very powerful. He almost killed Harry. Harry couldn't have killed him, as he did, without his best friends Hermione and Ron. Harry stayed in the wizarding hospital, St. Mungo's, for a bit, so did Hermione. She just got out a week ago. Ron was still there but he was recovering well. Harry was outside the Dursley's, with his aunt, uncle, and cousin, none of who were nice. Dursley was not going to college, of course, but staying home. But as for Harry, the moment he came home from the hospital he was chucked out. He didn't mind. He would live in the wizarding world. He was just waiting for Cho Chang, his girlfriend since the end of his sixth year at Hogwarts, and Hermione to pick him up. They said they had a special suprise for him. But to him, what else could make him happy besides living in the wizarding world.

Three hours later, it was dark, the only time Cho could come in on her broom. Hermione, who was unusually late, could have come any time during the day. She was a muggle born witch, which meant that she lived with her parents, who were non magic. Harry was tired and had fallen asleep on his suitcase, just to be woken up again a half an hour later.
"Get up! Get up! We have to hurry grab your broom!" Cho Chang said impatiently.
"Huuh, wha? Oh yes.." Harry said. He sleepily grabbed his broom and his owl's cage and suitcase and tied it tightly to his broom.
"No no! Don't tie it on, no! No time and we have to hurry! You'll get your luggage soon enough!" Cho said, her voice grew more impatient by the second.
"Where's Hermione?" Harry asked, looking around.
"Harry! She said she can't make it from St. Mungo's right now! Let's GO!" Cho sounded quite irritated. He knew that Hermione and Cho weren't quite best friends and that she would much rather leave Hermione behind anyway, so Harry got on his broom and flew off, not even saying goodbye to his so-called-family.

Harry arrived at Ron Weasley's house cold and numb. Quickly, Cho kissed him on the cheek, waved goodbye, and took off. No one was home but Ginny, and Mrs. Weasley was cooking. She looked awfully tired. Ginny hugged Harry in a friendly way and offered him fresh baked cookies Mrs. Weasley had pulled out of thin air.
"So, how's Ron doing? Is he alright? Is He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named really dead? Where's Hermione?" Ginny asked eagerly and by the time she had finished she was out of breath. Harry laughed a little.
"Ron is fine I suppose, I haven't seen much of him. He'll be out soon though. Hermione's visiting him right now. And I am pretty sure it's the end of Voldemort for good--Ginny, stop that!" Harry said with a sigh. Ginny made a gasping noise when he mentioned Voldemort's name. "Wait a second!" Harry continued. "Aren't you in your seventh year? What are you doing at the Burrow?"
Ginny smiled. "I can stay until Ron get's out." Ginny left the room and as soon as she did, Harry almost instantly fell asleep.

What seemed like seconds later, Hermione was shaking him so hard, he felt like she was throwing him accross the room.
"What? What? WHAT?" Harry yelled over Hermione's excited shouts of 'Harry! Wake up now!'. Hermione stopped shaking him. He noticed something very different about her usually messy hair. It was not messy, but waved in a beautiful way and some of her hair was tied back. "What's going on? What are you smiling about?"
Hermione took a deep breath, then shoved her hand in Harry's face. He pushed it out of the way.
"What?" he demanded again. Hermione put her hand in his face again. Then he noticed why. There was a rainbow bracelet that glittered and looked like Hermione's name was spelled out in diamonds. "Well, Hermione it's very nice," Harry said, trying to force a smile, "but it's not really my concern what kind of jewlery you buy." Harry turned over and tried to go to sleep again, but Hermione started shaking him again. Harry stood up, looked at Hermione, and demanded firmly, "What-do-you-WANT?"
"Well, Harry!" Hermione said impatiently, "Ron gave it to me you know! Don't you know what that means?" Harry shook his head. Hermione sighed, "Well? Harry!" she was getting frusterated. She took a deep breath, then continued, "Ron is out of the hospital though, he's on his way. I had to leave without him." As soon as she said that, Ron had appeared next to Harry at the opposite armchair. He was smiling. Hermione ran over and hugged him,
"That was quick!" Hermione laughed. Ron smiled weakly.
"Ron!" Harry exclaimed. He was obviously startled that Ron had appeared so quickly. He had forgotten they all knew how to Apparate and Disapparate. He wished Cho wasn't so fussy about Apparating. She didn't like it. Then he would've arrived sooner without being cold and so numb.
"Harry!" Ron said, weakly. "I'm just going to go to bed. Harry, can you come here a sec?" And he Disapparated. Harry knew he went to his room though, so Harry did the same. The Apparated next to each other sitting on Ron's bed. Harry got up and sat on a chair across from Ron's bed.
"Harry, I don't know where I want to get a job." Ron said plainly. Harry was confused.
"Ron, you have a job at the Ministry! You work in the same department as you dad!" Harry said as if Ron had no clue of that fact.
"I know, Harry, but it's not a good enough job for me to move out!"
"You don't need to move out now! You said you were going to live here for a year or two."
"Yeah, well, you can't expect me and Hermione to live here for that long?" Harry began to laugh.
"Well it's not like Hermione doesn't have a house already!"
"So we're just going to be married, and live in seperate houses?" Harry stopped laughing and tried to picture Hermione and Ron married. It was funny, but it could happen.
"Did you ask her or something?"
"No." Ron pulled out a gold bracelet with "H.W." on it. "But maybe I will in a year or so. Then I need to get a good job!"
"It's not a year or so yet, is it, don't worry about it! Besides, Hermione's going to apply for a job at Hogwarts and you and I both know Hermione can be a teacher in any subject she wants there."
"Speaking of which," said a voice. Harry and Ron spun around to look at the doorway. Ginny stepped in and sat in a chair next to Harry. "She's applied and she didn't get the job she wanted. She didn't want me to tell you but you see, I just told you that so wouldn't be relying on her, Ron."
"Do you think I would be doing the right thing?" continued Ron, ignoring his younger sister. "We've only been together, about, since the beginning of our last year."
"SINCE THE BEGINNING OF OUR 7TH YEAR?" Harry yelled. "What do you mean? More like for the past eight years!"
"Are you getting married?" Ginny asked wide-eyed, jumping up from her chair.
"Ginny!" Ron shouted warningly. He grabbed Ginny's arm. "I haven't done anything yet, shoo!"
"I'm not a cat.." Ginny mumbled, obediently walking out of Ron's room. Harry smiled.
"I better get some sleep," he said. "Is this what our first fall out of Hogwarts is going to be like?"

The next morning, Harry had to get to work for the first time. He worked in the same department as Ron and they had their offices right next to each other. This was just a temporary job for Harry, of course. He had been asked to teach at Hogwarts as the Defese Against the Dark Arts teacher. He had to think about it. In the meantime, Hogwarts had Professer Snape being the temporary D.A.D.A teacher. Snape had been after this job for years, but Dumbledore would only let him be the subsititute for now. Harry would have loved to teach D.A.D.A, kind of like he did in a secret student organization in his 5th year, but it was like there was some sort of curse on that job, because every year something happened that made the D.A.D.A teaching spot opened for next year.
"Harry!" a voice called. Harry moaned.
"Yes?" he said. There was woman just a year older then Harry, nineteen, that worked in the office next to him. Her name was Mortika Glenden and she was very very nice, but to the point that it was irritating. She bossed people around and even though she did this in her 'nice' way, it made everyone working there hate her. Harry had met her when he was applying for the job and he didn't like her much.
"Oh, hello there!" she said as if she was talking to a four-year-old, "I know this is your first day! You be a good worker, now! You must do all of these"--with her wand she conjured a stack of papers out of thin air onto Harry's desk--"sort these"--conjured another stack--"and send off these!" She conjured some letters and packages. She was about to leave when she turned around and gave Harry his owl cage with his snowywhite bird Hedwig. "You'll need this ickle little birdy wirdy, now won't you?"
After work, he and Ron went to Diagon Alley and began to buy foods. They visited Ron's older brother's, Fred and George, who were twins that owned a very good buisness--a joke shop. They made plenty money on it. They met Hermione there too. And that's when Ron stopped her. He grabbed her wrist and put the bracelet on. Then he asked her the big question--and it's set for December 27th. Be there!

Hello! Did you enjoy the story? Well I enjoyed writing it, and even though it's kind of cheesy and kind of has a stupid ending and it sounds sooooooo too American, well I live in America and hey, it could happen!
