Amy is a character I've always found interesting. In her early days, she was an intriguing recurring character, and Gingerbread became one of my favourite episodes. With the Willow storyline, I liked the way she was basically brought up to the point Amy had been when she ratted herself. Then Amy returned and I was exstatic...but with most things related to the final couple of seasons of Buffy, it wasn't great...far from it really. With the exception of Once More With Feeling, I tend to try and forget those closing seasons!
Despite that, I wanted my Amy figure to be current for the time, so she is based on one of her appearances in the episodes Smashed and Wrecked. The body for my Amy is a series 2 Buffy, a great standard body, even tho the legs are rather oddly positioned. I'd already stolen Buffy's arms for something else however, so I ended up just attaching coils of milliput, with some hands I stole from a Riker figure! The head is a Faith, from the Angel line, with her hair slightly alterred where I could to make her slightly more Amy-ish. Overall, I don't think the figure is bad, buts its not a great representation of Amy, and to be honest I'm not overly happy with any of my old Buffy figures these days. |
