This is another of my Buffy figures that I actually really like. She was quite an acheivement for me at the time. I really enjoyed Restless, the season four finale, and I found the primitive slayer a really fun concept. I instantly started thinking of ways I could add her to my shelf, and hit upon the Crone from Sleepy Hollow, who's top half for more or less perfect. Trouble was she wore a big skirt with only one sculpted leg!
But that didn't stop me. I detached that leg, and fixed it to the main part of the body, using milliput to create a pelvic area and then a whole other leg. I was also faced with the problem of how I was going to acheive the bandages. I eventually used the stuff they use in hospitals for plaster casts, you can buy it in craft shops. I cut little strips and wet them emough to mould them, without loosing the bandage look. I completed coverred my freshly sculpted leg, partially to hide its rather uniformn thickness, and also paying special attention to the foot to make sure she could stand, which I'm porud to say she can! I love how she turned out, she's probably my favourite of my Buffy customs, and one of my favourites in general. She was an experiment of techniques that paid off nicely I feel! |
