| The base for my not exact Tara figure is a Planet of the Apes movie Dana figure. The first and most annoying job was to make her the same size as Willow. To do this i cut a section out of her legs and then measured it up to the leg and then cut out another section to give her the original feet. then i made the skirt out of air clay and then waited for it to dry. Next was to make the arms smaller to do this i just cut a section where the arms had articulation and then just stuch it back on. Then came the annoying job of packing out her body and to her torso to make it the same size as her asrm as they stick out. To do this i had to take the head off and then super glue it back on when i had finished painting her. I then Painted the top a blue yellowie green, then added the paly yellow, orange highlights to it. The Yellow for the skirt was mixed with orange to give it a mustardy colour, as for the sleevs of the dress too. Then i mixed a flesh tone and painted the arms with it. This is a Tara i am happy with. She replaces my old one more than once and it's not bad for a lump of air dry clay. |
