This is another one of those Buffy figures that could have been better, but actually in the end, after some reworking, she's not too bad! At the same time I made my Initiative Scientist Buffy, I was left with another spare Buffy II head and Willow body...this time I turned to the 'Buffy goes Matrix' scene from Primeval, the combined essenses of the Scoobies manifested in Buffy's power.
As with my other Buffy, I sculpted over Willow's top, making it match the episode as well as I could at the time. The actual shop was semi-transparent with a black vest top underneath, but I didn't feel back then that I could even try to represent that. If I did it now I would certainly give it a try, but I don't know how well it would turn out! The head was also a similar process, cutting away the excess hair, although I did leave it hanging down her back...then sanded around the face and alterred the hair to match roughly the style of the episode. I drilled a little hole in her back and attached her to a transparent pole from a Star Wars micromachine set, to make her hover just slightly above her base, which I thought was pretty cool! |
