Secrets

Secrets. People always keep secrets; whether it is from their friends, parents, or their co-workers. Many times they do this because they are afraid of the consequences, some do this to protect others from the information that they think will do more harm than good. Whatever the reason, I have seen that secrets, at the end, are almost always exposed and when they do, many people get hurt.

To look at the problem. marcospocially, we can see what develops when there is secrecy amongst nations. Nations always keep secrets about how bug their military is, how many atomic bombsthey pocess and what new war weaponry and tactics they are building up. Tension grows and every country in the world starts to think that they will fall behind if they do not develop such weaponry for themselves also. Countries such as India, Pakistan, and North KOrea has already done so and who knows what else is brewing in each country. Secrets among countries has only brought tension and the amassing of destructive weaponry.

It is possible to look at the problem in a smaller scope. At school, people keep secrets from their friends or teachers, afraid of what they would think of them when the secret is exposed. Gradually the secret or problem only bigger and bigger into and impossible to mend state. An example is smoking or taking drugs. Another type of secret is a more personal one. Becasue of secrets, I've seen many friends get angry at each other or being hurt because they feel left out. They get angry that the other is unable to trust them. Secrets between friends id often a source of barrier that should not exist.

In conclusion, secrets bring more harm than good. Wars and fights break out because of secrets. Relationships and frienships are ruined because of them. People make all kinds of assumptions based on little fact and this is what brings so much harm. It is better to open up to others and talk about what you think, what you know and in the long run, you'll realize it was the best choice you could make.
