Why are we going to the Italian-American club for our 25th reunion? Thanks for your inquiry on the reunion plans. Our "Class of 78" reunion team hashed out numerous events and locations. Our first concern was what we actually wanted out of a reunion. Lessons learned on what works and what is feasible all were taken into consideration. We came to the conclusion of a few basic points and tried to build on them. The first is a socially friendly atmosphere. Where and how can we do this? You know, what is the most efficient way you can maximize your time here at our events to see and catch up with all of your classmates. Second is logistics. Where, when, why, and how? We have to reserve, order and set up in at least a year in advance. Which includes fund up front that may or may not be refundable as we get closer to the planned event. Third, speaking of funds, we wanted it to be without a question, affordable to all involved. This will maximize our attendance and heighten our "social time" together. Fourth is the size of the crowd and what we can still physically do. We are still young and can get up and move around! As we mature (like that?) the crowd will dwindle down as will our activities. We feel this will better facilitate a "sit down", higher cost environment. Please try and understand the needs of the class as a whole were taken into consideration and we will always happily take any input/ideas/suggestions and present them to the "team". You are the Class of 78 and we are here to serve you. We want to see you all because that's what it is really all about. Regards, Class of 78 reunion team |
