| Augest 19 saw the second GGSA event going down in Krugers dorp. the location was INTENSE! some steep gradient and sudden corners the hill starts on a medium grade for maybe 200 metres and goes into an almost 180 degree corner(aka condom corner you will get f****ed) not because the corner is super tight(well tight enought o throw you into the trees on the other side of the road) but as you go through it it dips into a hugely steep gradient barely any timne to break and into a 90 degree left hand corner with a slightely off camber that somehow manages to throw you off everytime and a 50 meter straight before the next right hand 90 degree bend a 100 meter straight takes into a confusing left hander thats hard to determin how much to break for down a STEEEP straight into the finish line the entire thing stretches 1.2k's and all in all is very intense the road has been dubbed "krugers 90's" the race was butt board and luge only but I was allowed to do a"stand up demo" I had a jol the location made the trip worth while and staying with ralph was kool. the racing was close and and very "bumpy" lots of touching true racing and sliding through corners, one or two wipes and some ecellant riding. I did a Stand up demo for the small crowd that had gathered at the bottom of the hill and wow man If only it was also a stand up race it would be intense and bring out truly the best rider. Max Radel won the whol bang shoot and came second in butt boarding Mathew(sorry I forgot his surname) won the butt boarding |
