ROCKET Rex Staten if you dont know already is probably one of the few if not the hardest riders in professional motocross history. Names like Joel Robert, Tommy Croft and Jimmy Weinert also conjure up memories of breaking and destroying bikes for breakfast without batting an eye! When we received this 1978 YZ250E and looked over the frame we said, thats Rex's bike for sure. It has at least a half a dozen cracks right where he said they would be. You see, this machine is one of Rex's Saddleback bikes he used to pilot to numerous pro wins to the delight of many local fans in SoCal. The bike is still registered in Rex's name, we have the original untouched title!.....So begins the task of reviving a lost but found piece of MX history in hopes of making Rex proud. We think he'll like it and just might want it back! EJ... |

1 star = INT, 2 stars = Expert, 3 stars a PRO! This was Rex's system of ID'ing his riders. |
