On one of his patrol routes south of Palanthas, Lekor Lothlorious pondered, as he so often did, the events of his life and how he may better his skills as a Knight of the Crown and a person. So deep was he that he often scolded himself for not paying as much attention as he should to his routes, as boring and long as they may seem, as there was an uneasy peace in and around Palanthas. One day, while on one of his routes, he passed a kender pulling a small wagon of goods. Lekor was almost on top of the little kender, lost in his thoughts, when the kender gave a shout of surprise, not really feeling like getting trampled on that day by a big knight. "HEY!! Watch where your walking!!" The knight looked down at the little man in surprise, "oh!!, I'm sorry, please, forgive me." The kender looked up at the knight, "it's alright, just watch where your going next time!!" Lekor nodded and continued on his way, not really feeling like interacting with anyone that day, nevermind a kender. The kender watched him walk on for a monent, then, feeling bad for how he acted, followed after the knight, asking: "Hey, whats your name!! I'm Brim, a traveling merchant!!! Wanna see what I got!?!" Lekor turned and looked down at the little man, randomly showing him all the parcels in his wagon and going on about what each item is, not really paying attention to the knight. Brim finally caught up with himself after a couple minutes, and said, "Oh! I'm sorry, I'm Brim, whats you name?" The knight replied, "Lekor." After a couple seconds of silence, Brim continued to tell Lekor about the various items in his wagon. Lekor, standing there, not really knowing what to say or do, just watched the little kender aimlessly talk, couldn't help but to crack a smile, it was good for him to forget about matters at hand for a while, and Brim was putting the knight in a good mood with his carefree attitude and the way he just went on and on. "Wanna trade something?" Brim asked. Lekor, in his new mood, answered, "sure." Brim brought out an array of items. "I don't really have anything of value on me at the moment, but I may be back tomorrow with something if you wish," said Lekor. The kender smiled his agreement and stared off with a farewell when something shiny caught his eye, an earring on the knight. "What's that?" Brim asked, now very interessted in traded someting. The knight noticed his interest in the item and took it off, showing it to the kender. "Could i trade for that?" The kender asked. "Sure, what for?" the knight replied, Brim stared rumaging through his wagon, looking for something of worth, "Aha, here it is!!!" Brim himself held up and earring, very shiny in its own. "It's said to be very lucky, it may help you in the future!!" Lekor was indeed impressed with the craft and was very interested in the item, "sure, I'll trade," he said. Brim, very excited now, practically threw the earring at Lekor and swiped the other away the knight. Lekor inspected the item, taking in the craftmanship, looking very impressed, while Brim looked at his own new aquirement in fascination. Lekor, now realizing the time, said, "I'm sorry, thank you for the earring, but I must be going now, Good Day to you." Brim nodded, not really hearing him, as Lekor stared off. Brim finally came back to his sense a couple seconds later, and started after the knight. "Are you on this route often?" He asked after he caught up with the knight, "yes, it is my assigned route," Lekor replied. Brim, excited now, "I will see you tomorrow then," and started back to his wagon. Lekor looked after him, knowing that he should be cringing, but oddly, was really looking forward to the next day again. Lekor walked back to his keep in a high mood. (Thanks again, hope this will do :)
