Lekor was in high spirits this day, walking through Palanthas on an evening
stroll. It was one of his favourite things to do, to clear his head on a
relaxing walk through the great city. Never expecting to see friends while
on his walk, Lekor was surprised when a little voice interupted his thinking
and a small body his walk. "Hello!! Remember me!?!" the voice said, looking
down, Lekor saw a kender carrying a large sack of goods. "Brim! Hello, how
are you doing today?" Brim got visibly excited at the mention of his name and
started on how he got a number new goods to trade, plus a number of other things
such as how every day went for the past month. Lekor, always seeming to enjoy
the little kenders company, only listened. After a couple minutes of seemingly
endless chatter, Brim asked, "Want to see some new goods I got?!" The knight
nodded and Brim threw the bag from over his shoulder onto the ground and started
rummaging through it, showing Lekor random items he saw while doing so. "And I
got another earring if you wanted but you have already one that looks really nice, if
you wanted to trade for it. But I guess if you have a nice one you
wouldn't want to. But I have some other really nice stuff...." After a couple minutes
of showing items, Lekor spotted a pair of boots, being a Knight who is on his
feet walking all day, his boots were almost worn through, so he asked, "Could I
see those boots there?" Brim rummaged until he found the boots and said,
"sure!" Handing Lekor the boots he went back to going through the bag. Lekor
inspected the boots, obviously pleased with the workmanship. The boots seemed
like they would last a long time so Lekor asked the kender what he would like
in exchange for the boots. After a while of thinking, the kender answered,
"nothing, I guess," Lekor, being surprised for the rare scene of charity, asked,
"are you sure?" After nodding, Brim went back to his rummaging as if nothing
took place. Lekor put the boots on and was thoroughly impressed, for they were
the most comfotable pair of boots he had ever had on his feet. "Thank you,"
he said to Brim and if the little kender heard him he didn't say anything in
response.
