...Brim leaves the magic shop and returns to gather his things to begin his trip to the west in to the lands of evil. As he would see for the first time in his life. (But that is a story for another time) Once this task was done and he had returned to Palanthas once again, he took rest in the Solamnic keep with in the city walls that night. The next day before going straight to the shop Brim traveled down a street in Palanthas towards the temple of Branchala on diamond. While walking there he had found that a sewer grate had been left open on the street. Thinking this to be not so safe he decided to close the grate, but before he did he figured that maybe some one was down there doing repair work and such. To confirm this he ventured into the sewers of Palanthas....

Once down in the darkness of the sewers Brim wandered and wandered, thinking the whole time why he had never wandered down here before. After a few hours and not finding a single person, mind the rats, lots and lots of rats. Brim decided to see how many bricks it took to make up the sewers them selves. He traveled and whistled for awhile it seemed and right when he was to get past the one hundred thousandth brick. A man came out of the shadows, but didn't seem to menacing enough so Brim went to go back to counting, but the man then spoke. This broke his concentration all over and so Brim turned his attention to the man, taking in the visual of the man dress in straps of leather, black at that, and to top it off he wore a white mask, the palest white too. Nodding at the man as he spoke to him. Brim listened that the man would like to hire him for a mapping job in the west, and that also he would cover the expenses of every thing, Brims heart became happy as he thought of the fun to be. Stopping the man before his next word Brim explains... "I have some things to handle in the city of Palanthas and if you don't mind I would like to get your name and such so I would be able to get in touch with you when this job is done." With that said Brim began gathering his writing items as the man thought of what he was going to say ... "I am Nakky Kapan. You shall reach me through the server girl in the club illusions, here is 10,000 steel for your expenses, if you need more ill cover them when you return."
After recording all this and a few more notes the man insisted he know, Brim put his things away and asked one more question "and how is it you came to know of me and why down here" The man thought for a second and smiled. " I had heard of you from those of Palanthas, You spend a lot of time on the roads of the world they say and are always looking for new roads to travel. So then I would not have any one else for this job, this job is for my own personal reasons and you seem like the type that would give your full attention to this work I need done."
"Well sir kapan, sure thing. Like I was saying I have a few things to take care of before I leave on the trip, it may be a week at most before I leave but I will return as fast as I can map the areas that you wish mapped." With that said they parted way, brim smiled and waved, and Nakky slipped away in the shadows. ...

Upon returning the city streets, Brim made way to the Magic shop he was to have picked up an item a week ago and was very happy to see what was there for him...
