Nicholas was born in Louisiana on a stormy full moon night, the women that assisted in his delivery were clothed in black robes with hoods that nearly covered their faces, and the men were also robed with a robes of blood red, and the chanted old pagan verses, waving there hands in ancient cryptic gestures weaving their magic spells.  The smell of sulfur and evil hung in the room.  The smoke from the candles, and burnt blood could also could be detected.   They performed the Child Awakening ritual, which was supposed awaken the child so that he will poses strong magic powers, and be able to communicate with spirits in the beyond. They did not know the dramatic impact it would have later in his life.

His mother loved and cherished greatly, and dreamed that one day he would become a powerful member of her wiccan guild, or possibly become the head leader.   Throughout his childhood it was very difficult for him to fit in due to his mother’s reputation, and rumors about his heritage.  He was always left out, ignored or picked on by others, he tried hard in school got decent grades his favorite subject was science.

He had one good friend named Ralph, Ralph came from a large family, father was a retired soldier and a avid gun enthusiast, by the time they were both 10 years old they were romping through the beau hunting small game with their 22’s, Ralph always thought that that he was a better shot than Nick, for some reason Nick would hit the animal in some non vital area, where as Ralph would always shoot for the kill.  Once in awhile Ralph would comment on Nicks shooting, Nick would make a snide remark and snicker that maybe he needs glasses then grin evilly.  Ralph’s dad taught the boys proper hunting etiquette and safety, and hunting techniques, he also would take them hunting larger game occasionally, allowing them to use the larger caliber weapons that he owned.

At home he pretty much ignored his mothers wiccan ways, He took her wiccan ways as silly, and humorous, but had no faith, or desire to learn about wiccan. He would put them out of his mind and refused to believe or agree with them.  At the age of 18 he had finished high school and got his diploma. Then he hitched a ride to Chicago where he wanted to start a new life where no one would know his heritage or his upbringing.  He successfully made it to Chicago, got a job at the city library.  He started community college at 21, studying Botany, Ecology and Medicine the final result after 5 years of studying was a bachelors degree in Organic Sciences.

At age 26 he began an apprenticeship as an apprentice Organic Engineer on a large nursery where a team of scientists were creating genetically altered plants.  He also continued studying medicine and ecology at the library and talking to the professors at his college.  He keeps in touch with his mother and Ralph still via mail, and occasionally goes down to visit them.

He apprenticed for 4 years at the nursery and he became a journeyman Organic Engineer and actually started to make money at his job.  When he was 25 he took a trip back to his mothers’ place where he met the head leader of the wiccan guild that his mom belonged to, she was a tall, long red hair, blue eyes, she seemed a bit overly thin and bony.  They surprisingly had a lot in common and talked to the wee hours of the night.  Before the conversation ended, he presented a gift to Nick, it was a wiccan staff that was created by his father before he disappeared, he said that he supposedly contain mystic powers because his father was a very active wiccan.  He didn’t do much with the staff, mostly left on top of the fireplace mantle as a decoration.

He pretty much stuck to his same old job of Organic Engineer at the nursery, but he also started his own little nursery out of his house where he sold exotic plants there were not native to the US.  On his 28 birthday his mother sent him a plant that he had never seen before with a scroll attached with it, it was a carnivorous plant that fed on insects and small pieces of meat.  The scroll that was attached seems to be of authentic paper that was that was of ancient nature, perhaps over 100 years or older, the writing seemed to be of ancient pagan origin.  He took the scroll and studied the text and language that it was written in.  He had nearly the entire scroll deciphered except for the last line.  One night he was feeding the plant that was given to him by his mother, plant food in one hand, the scroll in the other hand, and he discovered the syntax of the last word, his heart beat faster and he read out loud the entire scroll out-loud “Bannan Karneth Delthar” and something strange happened, there was a audible hissing sound came from the plant as it began to emit a black fog, it continued to emit this black fog like substance until the entire room was filled.  It all happened quite quickly and Nick was dazed, he quickly opened his windows and allowed the fog to disperse.  He was quite shaken from the experience, and he felt completely drained of energy.  He finished feeding the plant, and laid the scroll next to it and went to sleep.

He woke up the next morning feeling much better, trying to convince himself it was all a dream, but curiosity got the best of him, so he took the scroll to the table which the plant was set on, once again read aloud the scroll, sure enough, the plant produced a large cloud of black fog, but strangely this time, there was not audible noise from the plant, once again it made him exhausted so he sat down with a hot cup of coffee and rested.  While resting in his armchair he dozed off and had a dream.  A robed figure steps from the shadow of a tree and greeted nick with a simple nod of his head.  Nick tried to step closer to the figure but there seemed as though there was an invisible force that would not allow him any closer.  The robed figure raised both is hands above his head in a V and began chanting words that resembled the ones on the scroll seemed to be emitting from him even though his mouth was not moving.  He moved his hand in small circles above his head and continued to murmur the pagan words, a black fog began to form around his hands, almost as if the fog was a living creature, you could almost make out the shape of the wings and its limbs.  It suddenly jetted up and dissipated above his head, and in its place was the staff, which looked to be the same as the one that was given to Nick.  The figure pointed the staff at Nick and uttered the words Raphael Ateh Gedulah, then staff emitted tendrils of a black smoke like substance that came shooting out of the staff towards Nick, the tendrils wrapped around his body and began to suck his life force from him, while the smoke like tendrils were wrapped around his body sucking his life force, the staff emitted new tendrils and the wrapped around the robed figure and he seemed to grow in size.  As he drew the breath that he knew would be his last, he suddenly woke up, shaking in a cold sweat gasping for breath.  He quickly arose to his feet and dashed towards the fireplace where the staff has been, and there it was, sitting on top of the mantle as usual.

A few days passed and once again the curiosity got to him, he pulled the staff down from the mantle, he uttered the words which he remembered the robed figure say, he uttered Ahih Le-Ohmal Malkuth, and then made the same gestures that the robed figure did, black smoke like tendril jetted from the staff and engulfed Nick, he felt his body start to convulse, he struggled to free himself, but the tendrils would not let him free, he struggled harder, but he could not free himself, he felt himself begin to weaken, he thought that this is how is life was going to end, everything went dark and he fell to the ground.  He awoke later, he did not know how long he had been out, the staff was still in his hand, and there were still traces of black fog still lingering in the room, he arose shakily and sat down in his armchair near the fireplace.  While gathering his wits about him he noticed his arms felt as if they were burning, he pulled up his sleeves and saw that there were tattoos on both his biceps and his forearms, they were of pagan symbols that he had seen at his mothers house on various books and artifacts that his mom had.  He was feeling very distraught, now he has been permanently marked with pagan ritualistic tattoos and he doesn’t even condone or practice pagan beliefs.  So in a sour mood, and with a bit of a temper, he placed the staff back on the mantle, then he took a shower and got ready for work.  He made it to work, he was not feeling very well, feeling rather queasy, and lightheaded.  About half way though is workday he collapsed due to fatigue.  His co-worker gave him a ride home, where as he went straight to bed, and fell fast asleep.  He awoke about 4 hours later, feeling even worse than when he went to bed, realizing something is terribly wrong he called the doctor for a house call.  The doctor showed up took his vital signs, he could not find any wrong that he could pin point and diagnosed him with malaria, and gave him antibiotics and a vaccine.  He having some medical knowledge from his college days was getting extremely worried, he had never heard of this sort of sickness, and very much doubted it was malaria, he called his old college professor, and he to was baffled.  Finally out of sheer desperation and panic, he called his mother for advice, and explained the entire story knowing that she if anyone would understand the turn of events.  She pondered the symptoms with him, and they still were unable to come up with a reasonable explanation, she would call him back.  She called the head guild leader for her wiccan guild, and explained what was going on, and he was able to explain to her why this was happening to Nick. She immediately called Nick back, explained that he has bonded himself to the staff, and he needs to be in continual contact with the staff or else, he will eventually die.  Quickly as he could, he weekly stumbled to the fire place, reached up and grabbed the staff, he once again uttered the words Ahih Le-Olam Malkuth and did the hand gestures in attempt to un-bind himself from the staff, but unexpectedly, light green tendrils shot out from the staff, wrapped around Nick and began to heal him, he felt better nearly instantly, and the green tendrils faded away, looking in the mirror, he noticed even though he felt back to normal, it was as though the color did not return to his skin.

At this point Nick figured no sense in denying his calling, he called up the wiccan leader that had given him the staff, they agreed to they needed to meet so Nick flew to Louisiana to meet with him.  They met at the guild hall, his mother showed up, and several of the other guild members also showed up, every one seemed to direct their attention to the new guild member Nick, the welcomed him warmly, they had a large feast, and then dancing, after the dancing the leader commanded everyone attention, presented a welcoming speech for Nick, then presented Nick with the official guild guide to their ways and beliefs.  Nick stayed with his mom and talked in depth with the guild leader regarding his recent developments and the potential for more power.  The guild leader went over some basic summing rituals with Nick, also explained and demonstrated how to banish the creature once it was summoned, and no longer needed.  One summing session, he had Nick attempt to summon a creature, He figured on summing a nice little dog that would go do a simple errand for him such as fetch a stick or something.  So he drew the pentagram with the required material, and placed the candles in the correct location one at each point of the pentagram, lit them in the appropriate order, he then placed the offering of fresh raw meat in the center of it, then began his incantations and gestures required to summon a simple puppy dog.  The pentagram began to glow with magic, and eerie red glow, the candles began to flicker, and a black fog began to accumulate inside the confines of the pentagram, with a sudden screeching roar, the fog dissipated and large dog like beast appeared from the fog, it pointed its snout to the moon, and gave a long eerie howl.  Immediately Nick new that this was going to turn out bad, the hound turned and looked directly at nick and sprung at him, Nick turned to avoid it, but it managed to grab a hold of the left hand side of his face.  Soon as the beast appeared, the guild leader which was assisting Nick quickly cast a banish spell on the beast, which sent it back from which it came, although even before it could be banished, the hound had taken a nice bite out of the left hand side of his face.  The hellhound vanished with a loud WOOSH and an explosion of smoke.  He quickly grabbed desperately to his staff and waved his hand franticly in the motion of a pentagram then a circle and uttered the words Ahih Le-Olam Malkuth as he did before, and once again light green smoke like tendril jetted out from the staff and immediately engulfed Nick and began to heal his wounds.  His mentor was flabbergasted that Nick summoned such a powerful creature, he carefully went through the steps with Nick once again, and together they found that Nick had forgotten to give his summoned being a task to perform once it materialized, so it turned on the summoner.  Nick was thoroughly spent, and could not continue for the day.  He spent the rest of the day lounging around talking to his mentor, and praising the half naked wickans under that were assist his mentor.

The next day his mentor requested that he try this spell again, so Nick created the pentagram with the blood from the cows and placed the cows heart in the middle of the pentagram, then he place ½ a pound of fresh meat at each point, and then lit a spirit candle at each point, then began his chant  Alah Bainem Malakker
