Koebenhavn, Danmark:

So let me just say, the Danes are the friendliest people ever!! We all want to live in Denmark now. Danish IEP, here we come!! Now then, Copenhagen is a very expensive city, especially for us poor college students. So we go to a pub Friday night, but Nate and I had already had a little chat and admitted we weren't buying any drinks that night because it was so expensive. The pub was pretty crowded, because there was live music to be played later in the evening. A couple of the guys get a drink, while Nate and I search for a table.
Finally, Rob finds some space at a table half occupied by some Danes. We sit down and chat a bit amongst ourselves. Scott leans over to me and tells me to coax the Danish guys to by me drinks, and then share with the rest of them. Afte about 30 mintues, one of the Danes turns to us and starts talking. Soon, we are all engaged in conversation.

Other things that happened in Denmark:

Nate took us on a 5 hour walking tour and didn't let us eat any meals. But then he directed us to an all-you-can-eat Pizza buffet. Even Rob was full. So we still hold him in high esteem.

Scandenavia in winter is cold!!!!! We were waiting outside the castle in Helsingør (the castle where Shakespear's Hamlet is set) and Doug turns to Nate and says "We need to move......now." Too cold for Doug.

Just about everyone had a day of orneriness this weekend. Chris and Nate were bickering like old men on Friday, Doug was cranky about the cold and the fact that he had no more Kroners, Rob was cranky because, well, not too sure. Maybe it was because we cracked on him the whole weekend. Maybe it was because he wasn't getting enough food. I was ornery Sunday.
Chris spent the whole weekend referring to Danish Kroners (Dkr) as "Dookers."

Word to the wise - if you make fun of Chris, he will retaliate at someone else. He also punched Doug in the face. Watch out.
