Leipzig, Deutschland:

On our way home from Dresden, we had to switch trains in Leipzig. According to our schedule, we had about a 20 minute layover in Leipzig. Really just enough time to find out what track to go to, and go to it. So as we are about 45 minutes outside of the Leipzig train station, we hear on the loud speaker that we're going to arrive 10 minutes late. So now our layover is down to 10 minutes. 30 minutes out, we are going to be 15 minutes late (5 minutes to catch the train). 10 minutes out, 20 minutes late (0 minutes to catch the connecting train). So the train begins to pull into the station. We get up and get ready to book it off the train. It stops, the door opens, Chris sprints out the door, Brian on his heels, and me close behind. We run and run and run and make our way to track 12 (we were on track 9 and they told us the connection to Hannover was at track 12). We dodge people, almost lose Sabrina, but finally we see the train, and get on. We have a victory celebration. Then some one asks if it is the right train (uh oh). Why did we question? The train said Halle (Saale) on the outside, not Hannover. We ask the conductor and he says, "No, this train is not going to Hannover, it's going in the opposite direction." Oh no. We are in trouble. Chris runs off the train and runs frantically, we all look about frantically. We see Chris waving his hands at the end of the platform. We set off at a dead run and follow him to track 11. There is the train to Hannover. We board and pass out in our seats. We made it. Did I mention that the Leipzig train station is the largest one in Europe?
