City of Warren Heights
Fire Station No. 5
Southeast Fire Station

Constructed 1968
The Warren Heights Bureau of Fire Southeast Fire Station is located at 1500 Rockefeller Boulevard SE.  It was constructed in 1968, but has been closed since 1989.  The department currently uses this station for storage.  When it opened it was home to Rescue Hose Company 5 until 1975.  From then on it was the home of Engine Company 5 from 1975 to 1995, and Ladder Company 3 from 1977 to 1983.
Station 5 is primarily responsible for a mostly residental section of the city with some industry located along the Mahoning River.  Several four and five story apartment buildings are also located along the east side of the river.  The Zoo is also in Station No. 5's response district.  The Zoo attracts over 200,000 people per year.
Engine 5 is a 1987 Pierce Arrow 1250gpm pumper.  Reserve Engine 1, a 1977 Ward LaFrance, used to be housed here until it was sold to help cover costs to rehab Engine 2.  Reserve Engine 1 was originally purchased as Engine 1 until it was replaced by a new Duplex engine in 1984.  It then moved to Station 4 until 1989 when Engine Company 4 was disbanded.  It finally became Reserve Engine 1 in 1991 with the arrival of two new rigs, but remained a very active piece until 1998.  The current Engine 5 moved to Station 5 in 1991 also, where it was kept as the primary unit on the southeast side until 1995.  Ladder Company 3 was housed here also.  Ladder 3 was most recently a refurbished American LaFrance Century aerial ladder with a Pierce Arrow cab added to it.  This unit was just recently sold to a retired Warren Heights firefighter.
Engine 5 has returned to its home.  Station 5 is now open and operating in the city's southeast corner.  The Bureau of Fire has also entered into a mutual aid agreement with the City of Hubrick, offering Engine 5 in the event that Hubrick has a large incident.
