City of Warren Heights
Engine Co. 6
Constructed 1955
Warren Heights Engine Company 6 is located at 2007 Martin Luther King Parkway NW.  Contructed in 1955, it is the home of Engine 6 and Battalion Chief 2.  This station was closed in 1989 due to funding, but re-opened in 1992 and has remained open ever since.
Engine 6 is staffed with 1 Lieutenant, 1 Engineer, and 2 Firefighters.  Engine 6 is first due to all alarms on the west side of the city.  Engine 6 is a 1992 E-One Cyclone TC with an eight man cab.  This truck was the original "Squad 1," with the help of Chief Vallant who was a Lieutenant at the time.  This unit moved to its current location at "6" in 1998 with the arrival of the new Squad 1.  It replaced a 1984 Duplex engine that was sold in 2000. Engine 6 will most likely be the next paramedic engine company in the city of Warren Heights.
Battalion Chief 2 is first due on working fires, entrapments, and hazardous materials incidents citywide.  This unit is staffed by three separate battalion chiefs on a 24/48 rotational schedule.
