After talking with both Lykaios and Killian, Eaven left The Sith Empire. Lykaios personally requested that she become his apprentice, an offer which Eaven gratiously accepted. The pair's friendship seemed to blossom overnight. Not long after she joined the Empire, Eaven sought out her parents. She discovered that her father had died several years ago, and then killed her own mother. A self-pro-claimed orphan, Eaven was adopted by Lykaios.
Eaven then met a new recruit to the Empire's army, Lansing Avalius. The two hit it off right away and began living together. Lykaios, being a protective father, nearly killed Lansing to get the man to prove that he really loved Eaven. While the actions briefly weakened Eaven and Lykaios's relationship, in the long run, it grew much stronger. After only a month of being together, Eaven found herself pregnant. Lansing, at first, seemed supportive, but he then disappeared.
Eaven fell back on old habits. She became numb and highly depressed. When she was at a club, Eaven was nearly raped. However, a stranger, Renhu'ka Manad, saved her from the terrifying ordeal. Eaven found comfort in talking with Ren, and began to feel better about her life.
Eaven finally told Lykaios about her pregnancy, as well as Lansing's disappearence. Lykaios remained utterly supportive of his daughter, and even enabled her to see her daughter in an ultra-sound. It was then that Eaven chose a name for the child, Gizelle.
However, as the months went by and her stomach swelled, she could not fight the self-hatred that developed when Lansing left. One night, Eaven stood at the top of her apartment building and stabbed herself, then fell from the roof. Drako, the most feared and respected man in the Empire, discovered Eaven. he took her to the hospital, telling her it was not her time to die. In her attempted suicide, however, Eaven did kill her unborn daughter. As a result of the opperation to remove the nearly-fully developed fetus, Eaven lost the ability to ever have children. From the moment she woke up in the hospital, Eaven regretted her actions.
While she was healing, Eaven was visited by Ren. For the first time in months, she found herself truly happy. The two declared their feelings for each other, only to be discovered by Lykaios. From the start, it was obvious the man did not approve of Ren, although Eaven told herself it was because he did not want to see his daughter hurt again.
Roughly a week after her second brush with death, Eaven started hearing voices. To be precise, she started hearing the voice and seeing the image of a fully grown Gizelle.
Ren was the only one to find out about the voice, but he told Eaven it didn't matter to him. After this, Eaven realised she was truly in love, and gave herself to Ren.
After Eaven had healed, she went on a mission with Killian and Lykaios to stop a group of pirates from taking over Imperial territory. In the mission, Killian's lover, Fiona, was kidnapped by the pirates' leader, Draven Quane, who also happened to be Killian's brother. At one point, Killian split off from the trio and seeked out Draven. Eaven tried to chase after him, but got there only after Killian had been blinded. She tried to help Killian out of the building, but they were again attacked by Draven. In the battle, a madman joined and started attacking Eaven and Lykaios. Eaven was ordered to leave the fight, and afterward blamed herself for Killian nearly dying, as well as losing his eyes.
