WELCOME TO WHIRITOA BEACH HOUSE

 

Located in the southern end of the Coromandel half way between Waihi and Whangamata, this tranquil village offers a wonderful location to spend time at the beach. This beach house is centrally located in the village and is a couple of minutes walk from the beach and Surf Club.

House Details:

Fully furnished three bedroom cottage with beds to sleep eight people. Two bedrooms each have a double bed, and the third has two single beds and a bunk bed which is ideal for the kids.

Open lounge/ kitchen area provides ample space for relaxing.

The large lawn provides plenty of space for the kids to play or just to relax with a good aspect allowing the afternoon sun into the lounge and deck area.

Available for your use are outdoor furniture, gas barbeque, washing machine and for the occasional wet day there are books, tv and video. We do not provide linen. You will be expected to leave the house clean and tidy, as you found it. Sorry, no pets!

Village Details:

The small, peaceful, village has a wonderful beach with a surf club offering a swim-between-the-flags service over the summer periods. At one end is a beautiful shallow lagoon protected from the sea at low tide. A well stocked dairy (with video rental) provides most basic amenities. Tennis courts are a short walk from the house (we have a key for your use, plus two rackets and balls) and there are a couple of short walks that you can do from the beach.

Swimming: Because this beach is quite steep, care needs to be taken at all times. The lagoon at the northern end of the beach is ideal for little ones.

Fishing: Fishing at Whiritoa can be good, with both surfcasters and Kontiki’s obtaining some worthwhile hauls.

Surfing: This is a popular pastime, due to the unique quality and power of the waves.

In the Area:

With Whangamata 10 minutes drive away you have all the activities you need from boat hire, golf, cinema, shopping, arts and craft trails, kayaking, walks and of course more beaches!

15 minutes the other way is Waihi, with golf, scenic train ride and reasonably priced grocery shopping.

Once the dates are confirmed you can post the full payment or deposit by cheque (or we can give you account details for direct deposit).

If a deposit is made, full payment must be done 10 days prior to arriving at the house.

Once full payment has been made details will be provided on where to collect the key.
