On August 29th 2005, We were confronted by the worst natural disaster in the history of our country.We have come to know this massive destruction by the name of hurricane Katrina. We have felt the wrath of Katrina here in South Mississippi.The people and places we have grown to know and love in our years in Hancock County no longer exist.While we will rebuild our towns and lives,they will never be the same. Here at Whiskey Bay Pits, we have suffered great losses ourselves.Our complete yard was lost,along with our home and everything else in the devistation that unfolded on that day.Although we do plan on rebuilding our yard,it will be a long road to treck,and we will never be able to replace the beloved pets we lost.I believe in the heart of the true APBT,and know that we will prevail.
I would like to thank all of our friends and fellow dogmen and women for their help,patience, and support in our time of loss.These people,some who I have not yet had the chance to meet personally,have shown me what true friends can be.The Pit Bull Community has stepped up and helped out in numerous ways,a fellow dogwoman and her family when they were needed most.I CANNOT begin to explain how thankful and privileged I am to be a part of such a wonderful group of people. Thank You to Everyone at Game-dog.com for coming to our rescue. Special thanks go out to Miakoda for being a shoulder (even long distance) and also helping to reunite us with our Boo's baby girl,and to Vicki,Jenn,Val,Mike,Noel,Shon and Marty for being such wonderful people.To EVERYONE else also a huge thanks.These people have shown me that true lovers of the APBT are wonderful and generous people,and not the thugs and idiots that are truly ruining our breed.They have gone to the ends of the earth and back to help us in everyway possible. |
