Kouga is a wolf demon who has three shikon shards. One in each leg and one in his right arm. The shards in his legs make him really fast. He is the leader of the wolf demon tribe. When he meets Inuyasha he is destroying a vilage, Inuyasha was about to use the windscar and kouga sensed the danger of it and ran off, but during that short period of time he found out that kagome can see the sacred jewel shards. So the next day kouga kidnaps kagome because he needs her help to spot the jewel shards in one of the birds of paradise that was killing off is tribe.Shippo also gets draged along with kagome on the way there. When kagome helps him escape from the demons kouga claims kagome as "his woman", and falls madly in love with her. By the time inuyasha got there to save kagome they where battling the birds of paradise. Then when kouga went up to recieve its shard he lost the jewel in his arm to the bird and was badly injured. Inuyasha then destroyed the bird with the windscar and took the 2 jewel shards the bird had, including kougas. Inuyasha was about to kill kouga when he was sat by kagome and got away. Later inuyasha and kouga are tricked by naraku, and almost end up killing each other. Naraku lures some of the wolf demons to his castle with a jewel shard and kagura uses her dance of the dead to send back a dead wolf demon with a conterfit shard full of narakus poison. Without a thought kouga shoved the shard in his arm and ran to the castle while inuyasha and the others were following naraku's insects. When Inuyasha got to the castle kagura covered inuyasha in kouga's comrads blood, and when kouga got there he was blinded by anger over losing his comrads. He and inuyasha faught and inuyasha ended up with a whole in his stomach and a brocken arm. While kouga was poisened from the conterfit jewel shard. Kagome used her sacred arrow to save kouga and he too was pulled into the circle of naraku. |
