#73 Newman, Shelton, Fuson & Copper ljett_us 5/16/00 10:08 pm I am new to genealogy I am looking for information on the above names. I am at a standstill. For the Newmans, I am looking for Glen I. Newman, I know he was from Iowa and moved to Mo. Sheltons were from Salem, Mo. and am looking for Daniel Richard Shelton and Ida James Shelton, for the Fusons, I am looking for my grandmother Cora who dies in 1942 in St. Louis, Mo. and maiden name of Copper.
#75 Re: Newman, Shelton, Fuson & Copper cj_31_1968 (F/Canada) 5/17/00 12:47 pm Hi ljett!! As I live in Ontario, Canada, I'm afraid that the only help I can give you is through the internet. I did manage to find information that does have a Cora Copper in it at the following web site: http://skyways.lib.ks.us/kansas/genweb/osage/convanatta.html as for the others you can look for information regarding them at: http://vitalrec.com/mo.html at that site you can do a Social Security Death Certificate look-up as long as you know what county they lived in. Give it a try and let me know if I can be of more help! CJ
#84 Re: Newman, Shelton, Fuson & Copper cj_31_1968 (F/Canada) 5/21/00 12:21 am Hi ljett! Sorry I wasn't much help before, but maybe this will help. Check to see if you can find obituaries for the people you are looking for. Obituaries often give you the names of parents, brothers and sisters and sometimes other information like birth location and clubs they once belonged to. You could also try City Directories and see what kind of information you can get from that, they sometimes have genealogical information in them. I don't know how your libraries work over there but here many of our libraries have web sites and indexes to local newspapers and their holdings. Just tossing some ideas your way, hope they help! I'll keep trying to think of things that might help, you can also check the library pages here under Beginners Genealogy for some ideas. Just click on Founder's Personal Pages and check it out. Maybe you will find something there that will help! CJ
#89 Re: Marriage Registers!! ccaro1953 5/25/00 8:44 pm Hi Cj Just wanted to take you up on your offer to do a lookup. I am interested in finding a marriage record for August ( perhaps Augustus) Dammeier and Judith Grebel would think it would be Waterloo county in approx 1850. I have found many spelling variations of his surname including Dumire and Thamier. Would be interested in anything that might appear to be this couple . Thanks for your time ccaro1953 aka Carolyn
