Title: My Way or the Highway Summery: I take the infamous break up scene in "The Prom" and play anti-Joss for a bit. AN: this idea popped into my head this morning. I beta my own work, so feel free to talk to me about spelling mistakes and whatnot. Feedback is always welcome I'm eager to hear peoples opinions. Anyway, on with the story. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You should be with someone who can take you into the light." Angel said, his heart aching and protesting to his words. "Someone who can make love to you." He could barely stand the thought of some other guy touching his beloved, but it was what she deserved. "I don't care about that." Buffy said, taking a step forward silently begging him to stop thinking too much, they could make it work. "You will. A-and children?" he said hating the fact that he was sterile and could never give her the children she deserved. Buffy's eyes widened. "Children? Can you say 'Jumping the gun'? I killing my goldfish." she said with a desperate tone in her voice. "Today." he said. "But you have no idea how fast it goes, Buffy. Pretty soon you'll want it all. A normal life." "I'll never have a normal life." "Your right. You'll always be the Slayer, but that's all the more reason why you should have a real relationship instead of this, this-" everything froze, cutting him off. PixieLiz shook her head. "This is not working." she said in a director voice. She moved over to Angel and tapped him on the head, a big book appeared in her hand with the title 'Angel's Memories' on the cover. "Wow, so wonder this guy broods, his memories weigh a ton." she whined. She put the book on a ledge and leafed through it. She came across a whole page that were the reasons why him and Buffy shouldn't be together. "Very graphic, Angel." she said, wrinkling her nose. "Hm." she shrugged her shoulders and ripped the entire page out. Then she pulled a freshe sheet of paper out of her shoulder bag and taped it into place. Then she wrote in permanent ink all the reasons that they SHOULD be together. She went like that through the entire book, she completely ripped out all the pages about Angelus and the curse and the gypsies.. Then she took the book back over to Angel and tapped his head again, making the book disappear. "Hope that helps." Then she tapped the side wall of the sewer and another big book appeared titled, 'Buffy storylines.'. PixieLiz grinned mischieviously and opened the book the the section marked Buffy and Angel. "This should be fun." she said with the voice of a child of Christmas Day. She took out her ink eraser and got rid of the part about the curse and wrote in, Curse is permanent. Then she changed the scene from sewer to Buffy's Bedroom, it changed as she wrote in the new scene. She changed the dialogue and had Angel with his shirt off. She kept the future Shanshu thing in there, but made it to happen at the end of the season when they fight the mayor. Then she closed the book with a satisfied grin and tapped the wall of Buffy's bedroom to make the book disappear. Then she went over to Buffy and tapped her head, her book of memories appeared on her bed. PixieLiz kneeled in front of it and opened it. She changed everything about the curse and wrote in a little something that would help them out in the long run, that Buffy would be released from her Slayer duties after they beat the mayor. PixieLiz seemed happy with the changes, so she tapped Buffy's head again and made the book disappear. Then she picked Buffy up, she was really light for PixieLiz, because this was her world, so she made Buffy light so she could move her. Then she placed Buffy right in front of Angel and put her around his neck. Then she took Angels arms and wrapped them around her waist. She tilted Buffy's head up and Angel's head down. They were now in a postition for some serious smoothes. PixieLiz smiled then left through Buffy's bedroom door. The world unfroze. Buffy and Angel both blinked. Then all the changes went into place and their lips came together. As far as they knew they had been a happy couple since they fell in love in the first season. Thanks to PixieLiz, the Buffyverse has been righted again. the end |
