Celtic Festivals | |||||||||
As a whistle newbie, I have quickly found that attending a celtic festival can be a very exciting and enjoyable way to meet other musicians, learn playing techniques, and, most importantly, hear live music being played in a performance environment. One of my newest Humble Opinions is that attending festivals can do wonders for a beginner. There are scores of festivals that regularly meet during the year, and its likely that at some point during the year there will be at least one within driving distance of your home town. So, here I will begin compiling links and information about festivals to help other Newbies find one in their area. The Clan MacLachlan website has a good links page listing a host of Scottish and Celtic Games and Festivals. Mad For Trad This site has a wondeful database of festivals in the USA, Canada and worldwide |
