Digital Sheet Music of Irish Tunes
		Beginning tin whistle players who know how to read music often want to know how to find sheet music for their favorite whistle tunes.  One of the best resources for traditional irish music is a digital music notation program known as "ABC".  ABC is a software program that converts simple text into sheet music.  ABC can also play the notated music using MIDI software.  So what do you need to give ABC a try?  First you'll have to download an abc program.  Then you'll want to download one of the many tune databases that are available for free on the web.  You'll then be able to load abc files of tunes into the abc program, print sheet music of tunes, and play MIDI samples of tunes. The abc program I use is the popular ABC2win.exe.  I got it from a link on Heinrik Norbek's site.  Norbeck's site also has an excellent database of tunes. Another great searchable database is the Woodenflute Tune  Database...it includes a search engine, downloadable abc files, and printouts of the sheet music of each tune.
