Please be careful with bottle babies! Many llamas will develop ABS (Aberrant Behavior Syndrome) if not properly handled and socialized as a cria.  Baby llamas are NOT baby dogs.  ABS is totally preventable.  Do LOTS of research before bottling your cria and if given the choice, only buy properly weaned crias from reputable sellers. HEAT STRESS is a danger for llamas in the summer!  Always make sure your llama is at least belly shorn and most importantly, has access to cool water.  Llamas love to cool their feet and will wade in water up to their underbelly to keep themselves cool.
