I thought I'd start a little news section for the times when I don't really have time to or am not really in the mood to do any major updating, just to fill everyone in on how the site's developing and future plans for it, as well any changes to the Psych itself.  And so I shall begin...

I've been going to the Psych quite often for the past couple of weeks.  It's given me a chance to take advantage of the digital camera I got for Christmas.  As you all probably know, the only buildings remaining to date are 12, 22, 31-34, 44 and 47.  30 was only recently brought completely to the ground.  The majority of the grounds have been reduced to mud, holes where buildings once stood, and trenches where underground tunnels once lay buried.  I have a feeling the remaining buildings will survive the winter due to both weather conditions and different ownership.  However, that is purely personal speculation and should
NOT be taken as fact.

My accomplices and I recently stumbled upon a part of Building 32 (the powerhouse) that we had never been in before.  It's the northwest part of the building with the garage doors.  I guess we had just assumed that the main part of the building should have entries to all other parts from the inside.  We were wrong.  This new 'wing' cannot be reached from the inside of the rest of the building.  Instead, there's a window that grants entry.  It's a pretty cool little place with two garages and an upstairs with a number of rooms (maybe 5ish?) and a bathroom.  I managed to snag a "SECURITY GUAR" sign off one of the dislodged doors (the 'D' was missing) and a "LINEN ROOM" sign above the door to, well, a linen closet.  Go figure.  We also found a green road sign with directions to some of the other buildings on the grounds.  Look forward to seeing these things in the 'Interior of 32' and ' Artifacts' pages in the days to come hopefully.

The demo crew appear to be in the habit of leaving certain vehicles and machines on upon going home for the night.  I've noticed this on two different occasions so far.  The first time, one of the demo machines was left beeping with some lights left on in the capsule.  And just last night, a dump truck beside the wreckage of Building 30 was left with its brake lights on.  Just as we were heading towards the grounds, a construction pick-up truck arrived on the scene (roughly 8:30pm-ish).  A person got out and unlocked the gates and the truck proceeded inside the fences.  We thought they were simply going to turn the lights off, so we continued on toward an alternate entrance to avoid confrontation.  We eventually saw the truck leaving on Gordon St., so we felt we could explore a little more liberally.  Upon going back to our cars, we noticed the lights of the truck had not been turned off, so I guess we'll never know the reason for the demo pick-up truck visit.

That is all for now.  With regards to this site, I hope to be making some progress shortly.  I have the next few days off work and really have nothing better to do with my time.  I hope to update the demo progress map, as well as the before-and-after pages.  The artifacts page will likely be created too, and hopefully I will get around to adding some more scenic and interior shots.  Unfortunately, I have been quite limited with the amount of buildings to enter (most have been torn down, duh), so expect a majority of the new shots to be from 12, 22 and 31-34.  Until next time!

P.S. As of yesterday (or the day before, at the earliest), the main portion of the powerplant has been completely reboarded up.  However, the 'newly-discovered' wing is still accessible.  Waiting for one of you fellows to make a new entrance.
