PSYCHIATRIC PSCENERY
The view from a window of Building 20.  Building 21 is to the right, with the smokestack of 32 above in the background.  Cottage 2 is in the centre, with 1 and 8 hidden behind the tree to the left.  The porch of 7 is also to the very left.
A similar view, taken from the ground at night.  A portion of Building 20 is on the very right, with 21 directly behind it.  Cottage 7 is to the left.
A pathetic attempt at a panoramic taken from the roof of Building 28.  From the very left, Buildings 20, 6, 21, 5, 3, and 4.
Walking down this center pathway between Buildings 19 (left) and 20 (right) proved to be a little more difficult than anticipated, due to some fallen trees and branches up ahead in the distance.
Out behind the children's ward (Building 16), this tire swing was found swaying ever so slightly in the wind.  Children were nowhere to be seen...
Another poorly-put-together panoramic taken from atop the 6-storey-high Building 30.  Building 28 is at the very left, to the right of which several red roofs of the cottages can be seen.  The smokestack of the powerhouse (Building 32) is also visible, poking out from the treetops to the right.
A similar view to that of the above right picture, only taken at night.  Despite the glare, the streetlights lining Gordon St. are visible, spanning diagonally in the center of the picture.  They are what makes Gordon St. safe to walk in the absence of sunlight.  (Note the hint of sarcasm)
Here's what we like to call the Santa suit, though it is clearly just a red and white blanket.  We had originally found it on the roof of Building 30, but by this visit, someone had thrown it off.  It now lies beside a filing cabinet drawer.  Best friends for life.
You likely won't make a visit to the Psych without having the shit scared out of you by one of these little critters.  Also beware of skunks and raccoons scampering around.  They usually flee if you shine a flashlight at them.
Umm, no?
A northward view from atop Building 32.  The pond across Scadding Ave. is frozen.
Building 34, as seen from the roof of Building 32.  Three different entry points are in clear sight.  Not too much to see inside, but definitely worth a look.  Now if I could just get on top of that roof...
Remnants of gold from the sunset flow over Building 33 and the neighbourhood behind, as seen from the roof of Building 32.  Again, nothing much to see in there aside from a few laundry machines.  However, there is easy access to the roof if interested.  And if you can't find an entry point, you're either not very observant, or just plain stupid.

A view from the second floor of Building 2.  Building 5 can be seen straight ahead, with 45 slightly in the foreground.  Building 21 is hidden behind a tree to the right.  The red roof of 6 can also been seen above and behind 21.

Another shot taken from the second floor of Building 2.  The view is the exact opposite of the first picture on this page.  Building 20 can be seen in the distance.  21 is hidden by the tree on the left, and 1, 7 and 8 are hidden by the tree on the right.

The sole survivor of the demolition of the building in the background.  May you one day see better times.
