Wynd of Change Adoption

Coming out of the forest, you come upon a very high cliff. All you can see beyond the cliff is sky. Inching towards the edge, you cautiously take a peek down... and down... and down... Finally you see something you'd swear were sheep, if only they had heads, and legs...

"Those're CLOUDS! Just how high is this cliff?!" Backing off from the edge, you take a wild look around, thinking that since you're so high, there will be snow. "No snow... this isn't making any sense." You say in confusion.

Sitting down on a nearby rock, you decide to wait for someone to come by and tell you how this place is possible. You don't wait long, as you hear footsteps behind you. Turning around, you see a beautiful golden horse.

"Who are you?" she asks, in a calm, contralto voice.

Sort of surprised that she can speak, you say, "I'm a visitor, who're you?"

"I'm a Wynd of Change, and my name is Glitterings of Gold. I come from the Place of Sun in the EverRealm."

"Why is the cliff so high?" You ask curiously.

"So I have plenty of room to strech my wings. I love to fly! The wind in my mane, the pull against my wings... ahh..." She sighs.

You notice someone behind her. "Who's that?"

She laughs. "Oh, this is Cerridwyn, visiting from the Unicorn Adoptions page. She's a Winged Unicorn from the Unicorn Friendship Center. She's been my caretaker since I was little. She's the one that taught me how to fly!"

Cerridwyn steps forward, and performs a little bow, almost touching her nose to the ground. Then she steps back again, and looks longingly out at the sky.

Glitterings of Gold tosses her mane, "Oh, yes, let's go fly!" She turns to you, "Thanks for visiting, traveler! Come again soon!" she says as she trots off after Cerridwyn, who's already at the edge.

"I'm sure I will!" You say with a smile. Then with a wave to Glitterings of Gold and Cerridwyn, you take your leave.
