Akari goes over to find Hikaru but Hikaru's mom tells her that Hikaru has started Go class. During class, Hikaru is bored because he doesn't know what the sensei is talking about. Sai asks Hikaru about the sensei and Hikaru tells him that the sensei is a Pro Go Player meaning that he plays Go for a meaning. The sensei goes up to Hikaru and teaches him about the simple capture method and then about Atari. Then the sensei shows him about a situation that he can't get out of. Hikaru gets a bunch of his stones captured and Sai snickers in the back. Hikaru takes a break in the lounge and Sai is extremely fascinated with the drink machine. The TV in the lounge is showing a go game and one of the player is Touya Meijin. The lady tells Hikaru that he is said to be the closest to obtaining the Hand of God. Sai also notices that Touya Meijin is not an ordinary player. Meanwhile at the Go Salon, Touya Akira is still upset about the game that he played Hikaru. He doesn't accept tutoring matches and just keeps on replaying the game that he lost. Touya leaves the salon and takes the subway home while still thinking about Hikaru. At school, Hikaru's teacher tells Hikaru that he's been phasing out in class a lot but his history mark is getting better. After class, Akari catches up with Hikaru wanting to hang out with him but he tells her that he has something to do. Akari knows that he has Go class. Akari tags along and goes to Go class with Hikaru. In class, Akari asks Hikaru if he knows what the sensei is talking about. Hikaru also has no idea. The sensei then gives a go problem to the class and ask if anyone in the class knows what the next move should be. Sai tells Hikaru 16-5. Hikaru then tells the Sensei and he is says that he thought Hikaru is a beginner. The move in fact is an old joseki and is not used as often anymore because of the Komi rule. The sensei sits Hikaru and Akari down later and have them play out other players game. Hikaru and Sai notices a stronger player in class picking on a weaker player by playing confusing moves. Sai wants Hikaru to let him play that player and teach him a lesson but before Sai can tell Hikaru, Hikaru pours Go stones on the man and pulls his wig off!! The sensei is upset, Akari is embarrassed and Sai is upset because the Sensei is mad and they can't play go there anymore. Outside, Hikaru remembers about the Children's tournament and so he takes Sai there. He sees many kids all concentrated at the game. At the Go Salon, Touya sits, awaiting for Hikaru. At the tournament, Hikaru and Sai watches one of the matches and Sai points out the only place for black to live. Hikaru blurts it out and causes a disturbance. Ogata sensei comes and they take Hikaru in the office. At the salon, the lady remembers that she had told Hikaru about the Children's Tournament. She tells Touya and Touya runs off. Hikaru apologizes for what he has done and they let him go. In the hallway, Hikaru bumps into Touya Meijin who was on his way to the office. In the office, the Meijin comments that he doesn't know any other child that can do that except for his son, Touya Akira. The man had not asked Hikaru for his name but the Meijin says that if the kid is that strong then he will appear before them sooner or later. Outside, Touya Akira, out of breath, finally finds Hikaru. |
