Introduction |
"Breakfast for your Head" We have just read the book Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. You are going to create a book report using an empty cereal box. Each side of the box will contain information, facts and pictures from the book. What surprise and game will your report contain? Will you eat it or wear it? |
Task |
1.All sides of the cereal box must be covered with some kind of construction paper. 2. The front of the box will have an illustration depicting your favorite scene from the book. It must be in color. The front must also have the title and author of the book. Your name must appear somewhere on the front. 3. The back of the cereal box must contain a game. It should contain important facts about the character's, story, theme and teaches the players about the story. The activity can be a board game, maze, word search or puzzle. Discoveryschool.com is a great site for this. 4. On one side of the box, briefly describe some of the story's ingredients (handwritten or typed): setting, plot, and 3 characters. 5. On the opposite side panel, write: an interesting quote from the story and your recommendation of the story (Should others read the story? Why or Why not?). 6. Put a surprise in the box. The toy should represent some important element of the story. |
