of football. My exclusive lessons can only be found on this site so hey make the most of it. So with out further a do let's get under way. This week I will be talking you through the Penalty Kick. So follow my steps below and you will be rattling them in, in no time.........
Let's go soccer fans.......................
STEP ONE : Always place the ball confidently on the spot, staring the keeper right in the eyes. Remember it is down to the keeper to save it. I find it helps to make tribal noises and dance around the ball. This gives the impression that the ball is now possessed and will make the keeper feel he has no way of saving it. BE CAREFUL some tribal dances involve you weeing on the site you are dancing round, this will only get you booked.
STEP TWO : The Run up. Another important part of the whole routine. If you are not careful this will also give away your intentions of where you want you are going to kick the ball. Try running in a type of zig zag towards the ball. If done correctly it will not only confuse the keeper but also make him dizzy. This may result in the keeper falling over. Keep an eye on this, we don't want him falling in the same direction of your penalty do we......
STEP THREE : The dummy. So very important this one. The whole world is watching you and you are about to make a very important kick indeed. So how do you send the keeper the wrong way. I find that keepers will try and get the edge on you for this one and try and move before you have kicked it. This could be to your advantage. Keep an eye out and hammer the ball the other way. Failing that the dummy is needed. In all my years in the game I have found that only one way will work 100%. Some have said that looking the opposite way is a winner, as is a drop of the shoulder, but most keepers are wise to these now. Try doing the Hokey Kokey just before the point of contact. Think about it all those movements, the keeper will have no idea where the ball is going..........Good one Eh.
STEP FOUR : Now the vial one. The Kick. By now you should have made your mind up as to whether you are going to place or hammer your shot. Don't change your mind in mid kick or it will all go wrong. The only advice I can give you is hit it hard no matter where you are going to put it......When you have legs like mine it all becomes very easy............So with all these steps in mind your kick should look like something like this......
