Tom's great. He writes "The Front Lines" and "The Front Lines Forum" for The Wall Street Journal, and while I can get Friday's Journal in the library, I can only get the Forum in the Interactive edition.

Tom gets an email from me every time one of his columns strikes a chord -- which is practically every week. He runs my letters every time things are slow and he doesn't get the replies he's really looking for (just kidding, Tom). Here are the four examples, so far.

"Standards" discusses how increasing specialization will let each individual be the world's expert in their own chosen field -- and let their expertise persuade number two to move on to a new field where they can prosper.

"Paint Mixer" talks about the mutual needs between creative people and large corporations -- you can read between the lines here and see ISOPs

"Hand Woven" discusses the proliferation of niches thanks to combinatorial technology growth.

"Cement Truck" looks at the changes in business practice -- Mexican and Global.

If you want to say Hi to Tom, his address is: tompetz@msn.com, but don't just write to him.

Let me know what you think as well!
