Broadsheet:

Philippine Daily Inquirer article, December 5, 2001 - 2BU! writer Maui Reyes interviews the band just a few days before they play for the 2001 NU 107 Rock awards, where they won the In The Raw Award. At this time, the EP was relatively new. In fact, it was not yet available in stores. Monmon was just a new member then, and it's evident that the band did benefit from his humor. The band then was being dissed for calling themselves an "indie band." Some things never change...

The photos are courtesy of PDI photographer Joan Bondoc. it was taken right after the interview, just along Emerald Avenue, hence the tall buildings..

Gloss:

Pulp Magazine, March 2001 - Quark Henares talks to the band in their first ever published interview. (The first interview ever would be an In The Raw session, with Francis Brew) The interview was held in Mayric's, right after one of the gigs. You can probably imagine how much beer the band already ingested, which maybe could've been partially Quark's fault. Quark already knew the band as friends-- he knew the right questions to ask and the right frame of mind that the band should be in to answer those questions.

The text conversation in the sidebar actually did happen. The editor of Pulp thought Vin was a girl. Why else would Quark do the interview?

The photo is courtesy of Gari Buenavista. It was shot in Fairview, near where the band recorded the EP.

Indiefilipino.com, September 21, 2002 - Jeline deDios interviews Jason, Joey and Monmon at Starbucks Rockwell. Vin later sends his comments during an email interview. Buddy had just joined the band at this point, but he was not present during the interview because he had a gig with the Eraserheads then. The title, Dream Yourself Indie, originated from former manager Anna Piramide, who got the acronym DIY mixed up. After that, a multitude of acronyms for DIY, DYI, IYD, and YID was formed. Fortunately, Jeline chose the best sounding acronym.

Getasia.com, October 11, 2001 - Ritchie Ramos reviews the Twisted Halo EP along with two other discs in his regular articles. Ritchie would eventually help manage the band and even session bass for some gigs.
