Chapter 5
(Back with the girls, Leighanne and Kristen are laughing hysterically at the girl’s stories and Amanda is just sitting there looking at her watch for when it’s time to go.)
Taylor: (laughing) There was that one time I ran down the street naked.
Kristen: What?!
Reagan: Well we couldn’t get tickets to the last tour so we went to the venue anyway and hung around with the radio stations that were there. The one station asked Taylor what she would do if they were to give her tickets. So she said…she would run around the parking lot naked screaming I love backstreet boys.
Taylor: Needless to say I did and we got tickets. But they weren’t very good seats. I froze my ass off for nothing!
Leighanne: (laughing) I can’t believe you would do that just to see them perform.
Reagan: Yeah well, I just sit there…Taylor is the one that does all the stuff.
Taylor: Helllllo it was for a good cause. Besides I didn’t hear you complaining while we were at the concert.
Kristen: You two are great.
Taylor: Thanks. I think the feeling is mutual.
Amanda: (looks at her watch) Yeah well…look at the time. We really should be leaving now. AJ must be wondering where we are.
Kristen: They know where we are Amanda.
Amanda: (shoots Kristen a look) Still we should go.
Leighanne: Why don’t you go back…and we’ll stay here.
Amanda: But…fine. (Gets up) I guess I’ll be seeing you around ladies.
Taylor: Yup. Whenever you want to drop by and hang…come on over. Our door is always opened.
Amanda: I’ll remember that. (Leaves)
Reagan: (after Amanda leaves) Is it me…or does she not like us?
Leighanne: She…well…she doesn’t like many people.
Kristen: That’s for sure.
Taylor: Can’t win them all Ray.
(Amanda has made her way back to her house and she is in the living room where all the guys are)
Amanda: I hate her. (Sits down next to AJ)
AJ: (puts his arm around her) Who?
Amanda: Taylor.
Kevin: Why?
Amanda: (thinks) I just do.
Brian: That’s a good reason.
Amanda: She’s too friendly. She’s fake. I don’t like people who pretend to be your friend when they really aren’t.
AJ: Ok. (Rolls his eyes)
Amanda: Don’t roll your eyes at me.
AJ: Ok.
(Back with the girls)
Kristen: So what do you girls do?
Taylor: Well, I work for Cole’s Advertising Agency.
Leighanne: That’s the company that is worldwide right?
Taylor: Yeah. In fact I’m working on an ad that will be seen not only in America…no no…but also in England, Africa, and get this…France.
Kristen: Awesome.
Leighanne: What about you Reagan?
Reagan: Please call me Ray.
Leighanne: Sorry…Ray.
Reagan: I work for Disney. I work in the editing department. I do movies/shows/commercials…basically anything that Disney does…I edit it.
Kristen: Cool. How’d you find this house…it’s beautiful.
Taylor: Well actually, Disney gave Reagan the house…and the car.
Leighanne: You must be really important over there.
Reagan: I guess.
