Kayla: (sighs) Those were the days.
(AJ and Howie are pacing the room)
Brian: Dudes you got to calm down. It’s gonna be ok.
AJ: Ok…Let me ask you a question.
Brian: ok
AJ: If the roles were reversed and Alexa was lying in that hospital bed would you be calm?
Brian: I guess not, but pacing back and forth doesn’t help them to get any better.
(The doctors come in)
Doctor: I’m looking for Mr. Mclean and Mr. Dorough.
AJ: (pointing to Howie) That’s us.
Doctor: Come with me please.
(Howie and AJ follow the doctors)
Kayla: Is that a good sign or a bad sign?
Kevin: I don’t know.
Kayla: (starts to cry)
Kevin: (hugs Kayla) It’s ok.
Kayla: I don’t want my friends to die.
Brian: I’m sure if it was really bad then they would tell us, right?
Alexa: Maybe that’s why the doctors asked them to leave. Maybe they aren’t ok. Maybe…maybe…(Alexa starts to cry)
Brian: (hugs Alexa)
Nick: You ok Elena?
Elena: Yeah, I’m fine. They are such wimps. (starts to cry) Nick…I’m a wimp too.
Nick: (hugs Elena)
(AJ and Howie come back in the room)
AJ: Ummmm…you guys alright.
Kayla: NOOOOOOOO!
Nick: Go away.
Kevin: Yeah. We can do anything to them now.
Kayla: Hellz no. No ding ding without a wedding ring.
(the girls giggle at that and things start to perk up)
Brian: So what did the doctors have to say?
Kevin: Are they ok?
Howie: Why don’t you see for yourself.
(Howie and AJ lead the gang to Sandra’s and Liz’s room.)
Liz: Hey guys.
Brian: How you guys doing?
Sandra: We were lucky. I have a mild concussion and a few cuts and bruises.
Liz: I have a broken arm, but other than that we are fine.
Elena: That’s great news.
AJ: The doctors said that Liz can go home tomorrow and Sandra should be able to go home in a day or two.
Kevin: That’s great.
Kayla: Hey, can I be the first one to sign your cast?
Liz: Sure.
Kayla: Anyone got a marker?
Alexa: Here you go.
Kayla: Thanks. (She begins to write on the cast) It took a car crash to get us to realize what jerks we were being. Thanks.
Liz: I guess I should get in car accident more often then.
AJ: I don’t think so.
Alexa: That won’t be necessary. Next time someone just smack us upside the head.
(Kayla smacks Alexa upside the head.)
Alexa: Hey!
Kayla: Just practicing.
(They all begin to laugh.)
