Chapter 10

(Five o’clock rolls around and Liz is putting the finishing touches on her outfit)
Liz:  Now where are my earrings?   Ah ha!  Here they are.
(Door bell)
(Liz goes downstairs to open the door)
Liz:  Helllllo sweet…where’s AJ?
Man:  I’m Jeffrey, I’ve been hired to be your limo driver this evening…are you ready to go?
Liz:  Limo?  Well yes I am…let me get my purse.
(Liz gets her purse and closes the door)
Jeff:  (opens the door to the limo for her) Here you are, young lady.
Liz:  Why thank you.  (Gets into the limo to find a dozen red roses waiting for her inside)  Oh, oh, that’s so sweet…damn it…now I need a tissue.
(There is a letter next to the roses and Liz picks it up and reads it out loud)
Liz:  “My darling Liz, I am at the secret location putting the finishing touches on this evenings events…hope you enjoy the roses and I’ll see you soon.   Love always, Alex” Awwwww that’s so cute.   Good thing I’m wearing waterproof mascara.
(The limo stops and Jeff gets out to open the door for Liz)
Liz:  Are we here yet?
Jeff:  Yes ma’am.  And I believe your boyfriend is waiting for you right over there.  (Points in the direction of the beach)
Liz:  Thank you Jeff. 
Jeff:  That’s why I get paid the big bucks…now enjoy your evening
Liz:  Oh I plan on it.  Bye.
(Liz walks to the direction of the beach and sees a red carpet)
Liz:  What the heck?
(She walks down the carpet, which leads to a table.  On the table are candles and a long stem red rose in a vase.  There is a violinist playing and a bottle of champagne being chilled in a buck of ice.)
Liz:  Oh this is so pretty…now all I need is my man here.
AJ:  Turn around then.
Liz:  (turns around) Well look at you.
(AJ is dressed up in a black tuxedo)
AJ:  I want this night to be perfect for you.
Liz: It will be now that you’re here.
AJ:  Come on, let’s eat.
Liz: Good, I’m starved.
(They sit down to eat, the violinist plays, and the sun is setting over the ocean)
Liz:  Look at that sunset AJ.  This night can’t get any better…don’t you think?  AJ?  AJ?
AJ:  I have something for you.
Liz:  You didn’t have to get me anything. (Looks around) So…where is it?
AJ:  (pulls something out of his jacket pocket) Here it is…but I wanna open it for you.
Liz:  Well that takes the fun out of it…but ok.
AJ:  (opens the present and there is a small black velvet box inside, he opens the box and comes over to Liz)
Liz:   Daaaaaaaamn, that thing is HUGE!
AJ:  (gets down on one knee) Elizabeth, I would be the happiest man alive if you would be my wife, will you marry me?
Liz:   I…I…I…
