Priest: Do you…Alexander James McLean, take Elizabeth Marie Williams to be your lawfully wedded wife…to have and to hold…from now until the end of time?
AJ: (thinks) I’m thinking about it.
Liz: (smacks his arm) AJ.
AJ: Of course I do.
Priest: Do you…Elizabeth Marie Williams, take Alexander James McLean to be your lawfully wedded husband…to have and to hold from now until the end of time?
Liz: I do.
Priest: The rings please. (Howie hands AJ Liz’s ring…and Sandra hands Liz AJ’s ring) Alexander…place the ring on Elizabeth’s hand…and repeat after me.
AJ: (places the ring on her finger)
Priest: With this ring…
AJ: With this ring…
Priest: I thee wed.
AJ: I thee wed.
Priest: Now Elizabeth…place the ring on Alexander’s hand…and repeat after me.
Liz: (places the ring on his finger whispers to AJ) Your hands are all sweaty.
AJ: Sorry…I guess I’m a little nervous.
Priest: With this ring…
Liz: With this ring…
Priest: I thee wed.
Liz: I thee wed.
Priest: By the powers invested in me…I now pronounce you husband and wife…you may kiss the bride.
Liz: Woohoo.
AJ: I love you.
Liz: I love you too…(they kiss each other)
Priest: I am proud to present to you…Alexander and Elizabeth McLean.
(Everyone cheers, they all clear out of the church, take pictures, and then go to the reception)
(Clinking on the wine glass)
Howie: (stands up) I figured it would be better if only one of us speaks…and as Best Man #1…the honor goes to me.
Brian: Booooooooo.
Howie: Thank you disgruntle Best Man # 2. (Everyone laughs) Where to begin? We’ve known each other forever now man and I couldn’t have asked for a better friend. I’ve seen many, many, many...and I mean many women come in and out of your life. I knew from the first date that this was the girl for you…you couldn’t have found a better match…(holds up his wine glass) to AJ and Liz…we all love ya…and best of luck. Cheers. (Everyone holds up their glasses and drinks)
AJ: (gets up and hugs Howie) That was beautiful man.
