| I wrote to Cate a while back and asked her about Hunter being a virgin and if Morgan was still going to be a virgin at the end of the series. This is what she wrote: Hi, Abbie. Thanks for your nice note. It's always so nice to get good feedback! I know what you mean about first person. I usually like third-person omniscient, because I like knowing what everyone's thinking. In some ways, first person is much more limiting. But it also means you form a more intimate bond with the character and get to know him/her better. It's a more personal viewpoint and allows for a more subtle and complex picture of the character. Now for your questions. No, Hunter isn't a virgin. He's a good-looking, nineteen-year-old guy, after all. So I'm thinking he's been with maybe five people? With one or two of those being actual relationships, one or two of them being big mistakes, and one or to being good-natured and affectionate but not relationship material. I think that Morgan will probably not be a virgin at the end of the series. I've been wanting her and Hunter to become closer, but the timing never seems right. But it seems to me that they're in love, they're both trusting and respectful of each other, they know enough to use birth control, etc. I think it would be a nice thing.
