16 year old Susannah is a mediator. Basically she sees ghost and is able to talk to them.
Susannah moves from New York to California to live with her mom and new stepfather and stepbrothers.
In her new home sitting on her bed she meets Jesse. A ghost. See, no matter how much she doesn't want to see these ghost they always have a way of making themselves known to her. So what is a good mediator to do? Why try and help them move along of course. But there are some that don't want to move along and well when that happens Susannah has no choice but to kick a little butt.
