The lonely lake
The moon shone down on the glass like apperance of the sleeping lake
A fish jumps out of the water
its scales twinkling in the moonlight
breaking the silence with a soft ripple
the lake disturbed by hte fish sighs
as the ripples move out towards its outer edge
A kingfisher dives into the lake
in search for hte fish
the water ripples past its body with a feel of the smoothest silk
the kingfisher is dissapointed
it missed the fish
it sits on a branch to dry off
its emarld green and blue feathers
glisten with the moisture
in the light of the moon
it soon flies away
The lake once again sighs in its loneliness
the fish in the lake feel the sadness
but have no way of comforting it
the lake once again falls asleep
and dreams of a day when its waters will rise
and she will be able to go out to finally see its lover.....
