Last Season
July 15th ~ 17th, 2005
Narrowsburg, NY (AP)
Once again Landers Campground was the site for the annual River Trash festivities, organized by last year's winner Drew Scarenbaum.  The weather over this weekend back in Williamstown was a depressing hazy, hot, and very humid.  In New York state, it was hot, but not as bad, and there was just a sprinkle or two.  At the right, the boat of Halvorsen and White, complete with G's beach chair and umbrella.  Scarenbaum got last choice of boats, and ended up with the VW's of all kayacs.

At lunch rock nearly everyone decided to eat, then sit in the current.  This complete lack of time management caused many of the group to bail out at the 5 Mile mark.

Whitey and Halv, Justine and Jerry, Caroline and Bruce, and Drew and his buggy cranked out the last 10 miles in three hours.  Not too shabby considering the first 5 miles took oh.... 5 hours.

And the Winner is....

Justine took home the official
River Trash 2005 award, given out each year to the camper that either got the most annebriated, or did the least amount of work.  J-Yang was cargo, waisted space, a burden to Jerry for 15 miles down the Delaware.  Below, she is presented the yearly trophy.
July 31st, 2005:
A hot afternnoon outside of Princeton at the annual NJ Balloon Festival.  J-Rome, Mr. and Mrs. Pub rock out to the Doobie Brothers, while CJ masters the rockwall.

Veteran River Trashers welcome in a new generation of future water rats, when the Whiteys, Murphys, Halvies, and Scarenbaums send the youngsters downriver.  Clockwise:  Team Halvie, with Sammi Jo (middle) looking like a future "Trash" recipient... Captain CJ was a terrific navigator on the water...  Halvies and CJ during Ghoststory Telling time by the campfire... G, Susan, and Sammi stay in the boats during water activities... Stuart and CJ frolick in the mighty current across from the
5-Mile marker.

Overall, job well done by both parents and aspiring River Trashers.  Thanks again to the good folks at Landers Campgrounds in Narrowsburh, NY.
Fall into Fun!
Super Fall Weekend I
9.31.2005 ~ 10.2.2005:
A great weekend ushered in Whitey's 40th Birthday, SKYDIVING!, and this opener, a great Friday Night wedding for Christy and Sal.  At times, many thought Ray Liotta would walk in (the decor and soundtrack played of course)...
