This Ministry is a Grace based ministry built upon the foundation of God's love for us and His teachings as we each come to understand them. I began this labor of love in an effort to give those who have been confused and abused by formal religions, or who have not set a spiritual foundation, a place to explore that most intimate relationship, between God and self. If you have lost your way, or have never sought a spiritual path, here you may find some answers. You will come to know The Creator as a loving and caring God. Here you may find Peace - and here may find yourself. The goal is to help you define your faith as you understand it - and then find a way to live by your faith in a fruitful way. Grace "Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound…that saved a wretch like me!" as the hymn goes, is all most of us know of grace. So what is grace? I defer to the dictionary to help me understand the definition of the word. Aside from the smooth presentation of physical form and movement - and that grace is a short prayer offered before meals - there is a deeper meaning. I have come to define grace as Divine love and protection given freely; without expectation, and the state of being protected by God. In most Christian beliefs the only way grace was earned was by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and that Christ be accepted a personal savior. In other beliefs there must be a sacrifice or atonement of some kind…a payment of sorts for the sins of the past. Strict adherence to doctrine, tradition and the letter of the written will of God is the only way to win grace in still other beliefs. For those of us that have been returned from the abyss, grace is the way of life that we now enjoy. I have come to believe that God has given me grace. It is without expectation and condition, save these few: I must seek to live by the instinct for good that God had instilled in all of us, and harm none. In that grace I am free to do as I wish to do as long as I am willing to suffer the consequences of my choices and actions. Sometimes that instinct for good conflicts with traditions of the many belief systems that man has established. There sometimes appears to be a double standard. I have also come to learn that Grace is not to be confused with random events in life. Unfortunate things happen. They are either a matter of chance or a result of our actions or choices. God does not punish us by inflicting misery and pain upon us. The phrase "But for the Grace of God, go I." is something that I have said and experienced many times over. I have come to realize that things in my life can be far worse and that God, having my best interest at heart for His will, always leads me where He wants to go. An attitude of gratitude has to maintained for me to weather the storms of life. I feel that it is my responsibility to help others find grace - as others have helped me. I do not wish to impose upon an individual's beliefs, but by using truth and compassion, I hope to guide people to self realized spirituality. So simply put, we got a second chance so don't blow it. What happens next is solely a result of our actions and choices. |
