March 25, 2005, Victoria BC - Official Report |
This morning before the sun came up upon the quite Provincial capital, several of the world's Superheroes attended a top-secret Fathers-4-Justice meeting. During which they discussed how: (1). The children of divorce have a much higher risk of health and social problems later in life, ecspecialy if deprived one of their parents. (2). The Federal Divorce Act and the BC Family Relations Act do not protect a child's right to a meaningful relationship with both parents. (3). The Federal child support guidelines provide significant economic advantages to custodial parents, which often motivates behaviours that are inconsistent with the best interests of the child. (4). An epidemic of abuse of process has turned Family Court proceedings into gross miscarriages of natural justice that deprive children of their rights. The governing Liberals and the Family Law judges of BC Canada were found guilty of human rights abuses of children and their parents by a unanimous vote of attending superheroes: Batman, Robin, Green Lantern, Flash and the Incredible Hulk. Under the cover of darkness the superheroes set out to deliver their message as the city of Victoria BC awoke this Good Friday morning. At 4:15 AM the Incredible Hulk and the Flash climbed to the top of the Johnson Street draw bridge where in crisp 2 degree temperatures they hung a 10' X 30 ' banner emblazoned with "Fathers-4-Justice". There they remained undetected. At about 5:00 AM a ground team made up of F4J members from Vancouver and Victoria BC executed swiftly using a back door disturbance to lure 3 Parliament security away from the front of the building. Enabling the hoisting of a 60 foot ladder on the front steps of the British Columbia Legislature. As Batman and Robin made their assent to the balcony a security officer rushed out of the building and attempted to kick the bottom of the ladder out from under the superheroes before they had reached safety. The ground crew stayed put and once the superheroes had reached their lofty perch the crew carted the ladder off while security arrested a passerby whom had come to our assistance. We salute Rejean Bussieres for his help. As soon as Batman and Robin were aloft the superheroes put out the Fathers-4-Justice banner, which I am told was visible to home TV viewers on the inner harbour cam operated by the local cable company. At 5:15 AM the ground crew, led by Superman and the Green Lantern, hung a banner declaring, "Fathers Are Forever" and "Courts Discriminate", and chained the doors of the Victoria Supreme Court to prohibit further abuses of children by Family Law Judges. Meanwhile back on the Balcony of the BC Legislature, " Holy Tazers Batman", said Robin, "These guys mean bussiness". Our superheroes had apparently created quite a response from the gaurds, whoose Parliamentary tactics left little doubt in our superheroes minds that their negotiating position was weak. In the pre-dawn light, the front of the Legislature was lit up with the flashing lights of a dozen emergency vehicles and our superheroes were advised to come down voluntarily or via tazer guns. Sadly our heroes were taken into custody without getting to hang their newest banner declaring Liberals Deny Kids Rights. Meanwhile Back at the Johnson Street Bridge as Superman and the Green Lantern arrived, motorists honked in support as police attempted to negotiate with the Flash and the Hulk, who refused to budge until Batman and Robin were released.. A local TV Camera man arrived about 7 AM and spent an hour taking pictures and talking to superheroes on the scene. Local F4J spokesperson the Green Lantern worked with authorities to arrange for the expediant release of Batman,Robin and rejean. When our superheroes were released from police custody at about 8 AM, the Incredible Hulk and the Flash voluntarily came down from atop the bridge and all were free to go. |
